Planning for Success!
Our first lucky break came in the form of a very nice website, vermontvacation.com, produced by the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. It allows you to read about events, attractions, places to stay, and places to eat, and then create a map of the entire she-bang. It's very slick!
The Itinerary
Since we knew we wanted to make the entire trip in two days, we wanted to stay along the I-89 corridor, and we wanted to have enough stops along the way to keep the little ones entertained. The entire trip from the NH border to Burlington takes about 2 ½ to 3 hours. We decided to break it up like this.
The Stops
Day 1 should take us to the Joseph Smith Memorial in Sharon, then to the Ben 'n Jerrys Factory Tour (marked #?). After that, we figured we would scoot into Burlington for the evening, and finish up with a swim at the hotel.
Day 2 then would include Church St. Market and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory tour, and we would play the rest of the day by ear.
